The ally Digimon of the
Digi-Destined this time around have many more stages than their predecessors.
This is due to the use of "Digi-Eggs", which allows the Digimon to
Digivolve without the use of a Digivice.
At the start, the Digi-Destined
had to use Digi-Eggs because of the control towers that the Digimon Kaizer had
set up all over, thus disabling their Digimon from going directly to any stage
from the Champion level and up. The Digi-Eggs allowed their Digimon to
Digivolve to a level somewhere between a Champion and Ultimate, simply called
'Armor Digivolving'.
Later on, when the
Kaizer was defeated, and reverted back to Ken's true self, the Digimon are
able to Digivolve normally, and also to 'jogress' or combine themselves into
one Ultimate or Mega Digimon.
Below is a flowchart for
each of the Digi-Destineds' Digimon. Some areas are blank yet, because
it is not known what Digimon appears in the appropriate stage.....not yet
anyways.
